Effective date: June 10, 2026 · Dashboard Boss LLC, Las Vegas, Nevada
Dashboard Boss exists to keep your books. Your data is used to provide that service to you and for nothing else. We do not sell your data, share it with other customers, or use it for advertising.
Account information you provide when you sign up: your name, email address, business name, and login credentials (passwords are stored only as cryptographic hashes, never as plain text).
Financial records you create in the product: transactions you enter, receipt photos and voice notes you upload, and the details extracted from them (vendor, amount, date, sales tax, category).
Bank and card transaction data, if you choose to connect a financial account. We use Plaid Inc. to retrieve this data read-only from your financial institution. We never see or store your banking username or password — you provide those directly to Plaid. Plaid's handling of your information is described in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
To provide the bookkeeping service: maintaining your transaction ledger, reconciling bank activity against your captured records, computing balances, cash position, and runway, and producing reports you request (for example, sales tax captured for your filing). Receipt images and voice notes are processed by service providers (optical character recognition and audio transcription) solely to extract the transaction details you then review and confirm.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with other customers. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not use bank data retrieved through Plaid for any purpose other than providing the service to the customer whose account it is.
Your data is visible only to the people you authorize within your own organization (for example, your staff or your accountant, with the access roles you assign) and to the service providers we use to operate the product: our hosting provider, Plaid (bank connectivity), and the document/audio processing providers named above. Each provider receives only what is necessary to perform its function. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS). Bank access credentials are held by Plaid, not by us; the access tokens we receive from Plaid are encrypted at rest. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Access within the product is controlled by per-organization isolation and role-based permissions.
You can disconnect a linked bank account at any time, which removes our access to that account's data. You can edit or delete records you have created. If you close your account, you may request deletion of your data by contacting us, and we will delete it except where retention is required by law. You are also entitled to a copy of your records — they are your books.
